MOM TRAVEL HACK’s MISSION

Welcome to MomTravelHacks.com! I’m Amber Nance, married to an amazing man and mother of three wonderful children. I started this blog after realizing the challenges that so many moms have when traveling with their kids. After seeing how most of the moms on my social networks don’t even bother traveling because of these difficulties, I knew I had to take action!

At this point, I have to mention that my husband Daniel and I are certified travel freaks and have been for the past 20 years. After having kids, however, traveling became impractical and almost impossible–or so we thought.

You know how it goes: the frequent bathroom stops, plane ride tantrums, and all the other challenges that parents experience when bringing their children along on their travels. And let’s not forget the dreaded question that parents on road trips have heard since time immemorial: “Are we there yet?”

Believe me: I am well aware of the challenges and frustration that we parents sometimes feel, and how they can truly test our patience.

But I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be that way! After many more trips, a bit of trial and error, and developing superhuman patience, we finally stumbled on some effective strategies for making traveling with kids more enjoyable for everyone.

Now, we take our kids‒Nathan (14), Ethan (8), and our princess Sofia (3)‒everywhere we go, and we wouldn’t dream of having it any other way! Along the way, we learned how to make traveling more efficient, manage work while on the road, and gain valuable insights and experience that only traveling provides.

Of course, we still go through some challenges from time to time, and it isn’t always a walk in the park. But experience has taught us that it’s all part of the process, and we always take advantage of the opportunity to learn how to be better traveling parents.

If you’ve made it this far, I’d now like to invite you to share in our discoveries. I’ve gathered together the collective wisdom I picked up from our travels and shared them with you via this website. With the travel tips and tricks I share here, it is my goal to make traveling with kids less stressful, more rewarding, and more fun!

For all the Dads out there, you don’t have to feel left out! The site might be named MomTravelHacks.com, but many of these tips will apply to you as well! So settle in and have a look around. I guarantee that you will see traveling with kids in a whole new light!

Happy trails!
